A New Day, A Fresh Start
Good morning friends! I really hoped I wouldn't be up this early & that I would sleep in a little, but that seems very laughable these days! But last night, my mind was wandering into a whole lotta different places and I kept coming back around to this blog and how I need to make it my thing. I need it to be more than just an after thought. So I'm going to write this blog post in hopes of you my friends keeping me accountable.
Let's talk about my lists. I have a list for EVERYTHING. I mean, it's kind of ridiculous the amount of lists I carry around. But I love to make a list. Whether it's for fun things or just as simple as a grocery list. So make a new list with me y'all.
You see, I have this home that I moved into a year and a half ago and it's pretty much a blank canvas. I've got some rooms that are 75% finished and rooms that are 0% finished. It's a home decor bloggers dream. Rooms to decorate and rooms to blog. It thrills me thinking about it. But then I start and I'm tired, walk away and go snuggle my Liam instead. The thoughts of finishing each room is so exciting but so overwhelming. Where do I start?
My first problem, is my style keeps changing ever so slightly. I started out as 100% Joanna Gaines - white, black and shiplap EVERYWHERE. Then it changed into a little more rustic, chippy like Liz Marie Blog. Then it went to a little more cottage-y. And lastly, for the moment it's Farmhouse Lake Cottage. It's still a mix of all those things but I've begun to like color. Especially blue. I don't know where the obsession came from, but mama is really digging the color right now.
So I feel as if I need to change all the rooms to what I want but they don't match what I'm vibing right now. Y'all - I'm just a hot mess. And so is my home. So I'm creating a list of tasks that I need to finish to feel, well home.
Let's start from the upstairs and work our way down.
