Room Transformation Challenge

Hi All! I'm so excited to share with you my latest project! Well, I have a ton of projects going on around the house but this one is my latest! LOL! I am challenging myself to decorate our guest bedroom in 4 weeks with only $100. You may ask, why? Decorating an ENTIRE room can be daunting. It's extremely time consuming and CAN be expensive. Which is why I'm taking on this challenge. I believe you can completely transform a room on a reasonable time line and with a reasonable budget! So what room do I plan to completely transform? Our guest room. This room is utilized a lot. Mainly for my portrait sessions but also for overnight guests and if course to hold junk. Isn't that why people put in guest bedrooms? 😉 Here's my mission with the room: transform the guest bedroom into a quaint, cottage like retreat with feminine accents. My $100 goes towards anything I need to buy for the space. I already currently own a bed, dresser and nightstand. Those are the only 3 things that will not be 'bought' for the room because I already own them. My rules are that I can use anything I already own in my home for the space and not deduct that from my budget but anything NEW will be taken off.

I hope to stretch this $100 as far as possible. Here's my list of 'to-do's':

Paint the bedroom Create a feature wall Paint the dresser & nightstand Create a headboard Purchase Bedding & Pillows Decorate the space

Y'all, I'm not going to lie. I'm extremely nervous I won't be able to complete all the tasks above on the time frame. Being a working mama and having a SMALL budget is scary but blogging about it will keep me accountable. Here is my agenda for the following 4 weeks: Week One: Paint the Bedroom Week Two: Create Feature Wall Week Three: Create a Headboard & Paint dresser and nightstand Week Four: Purchase Decor & Decorate Because I have a client using the guest bedroom this week, I can't start my project until next week. Y'all, thanks for following along this journey with the house. Do you think I'll be able to do it?!
