My #Shelfie

I was really wanting to build a faux fireplace with built-ins in our living room. However, as more furniture (or really baby toys) have invaded the space, I'm not sure a furniture piece of that magnitude would have been a good idea. Storage wise - absolutely! Space wise - that's a negative. So I decided to get some bookshelves for either side of the windows and I'll create "built-ins" there. Well, I'm not good at making such "permenant" decisions and decided to start off with one book shelf. I came across this one on Walmart . com and thought it would bring in my blacks from the kitchen perfectly into the living room. So I purchased one and had a heck of a time finding a spot for it. I finally settled on this area behind the couch & I'm really digging it for the time being.

I've not gathered up all my items for the top of the shelf yet, I'm still working on that. But I wanted to have clear and white pieces to give a fresh & light feel. Especially during these winter blues months. I cant wait to beach it up for the summer and fill my glass jar with some fun collectibles. But you all are probably rolling your eyes at me because you know Liam isn't on the go just yet. But I can enjoy it now for a little bit, right? Thanks for stopping by friends!
